Understand
the process

This course guide outlines an extensive selection of VET programs available to students at IMVC cluster schools for 2023, as facilitated by IMVC.

Please note that any arrangements in the VET course guide once printed regarding times, venues and course outlines are subject to change and will be confirmed at the course-specific information sessions scheduled for Term 4. Applicants to programs will be notified of changes prior to course commencement, via their school’s VET coordinator or the respective RTO.

Please read the requirements of your selected program carefully.

STEP 1

Read the course guide and course requirements carefully before selecting your preferred VET program and discuss your selection with your school VET coordinator or careers advisor.

STEP 2

Complete the IMVC VET Endorsement Form. This form is located here or is available from your careers/VET coordinator. It must be submitted to your VET coordinator or careers advisor by the due date as indicated by your school and should not be sent to IMVC.

IMPORTANT: The IMVC application process for Box Hill Institute courses has changed for 2023, schools must apply directly to Box Hill Institute after completing Step 1 and Step 2. Please refer to RTO Application and Enrolment Process (below) for further details.

Attention Schools & Parents: Units 3 & 4/Year 2 students are not automatically enrolled into their second year of the program. Students will need to advise their VET coordinator or careers advisor that they wish to continue their VET program, by the due date as indicated by your school. Schools may advise students to submit an expression of interest for Year 2 or alternatively schools can contact IMVC to re-enrol students in Units 3 & 4/Year 2 of their current course.

Students who do not complete steps 1-3 will not be considered for a VET program facilitated by the IMVC.

STEP 4

Units 3 & 4 students are not required to attend). Dates and times for course-specific Information Sessions will be posted on the IMVC website in Term 3. Please contact your careers/VET coordinator for assistance with these sessions.

Students must attend to better understand their chosen VET program and their responsibilities.

STEP 5

There are course fees associated with each program and applicants are advised to contact their careers/VET coordinator for an estimate of costs. Your school’s careers/VET coordinator and/or RTO will confirm your enrolment by the end of Term 4.

Please Note: Students will be formally enrolled into programs by the respective RTO either in late Term 4, or at the commencement of the following year. Each RTO has a different enrolment process. Please refer to RTO Application and Enrolment Process for further details.
